All GTA Firewall UTM Appliances are powered by GB-OS, "the original cost effective Internet firewall system". GB-OS is a totally self-contained solution that integrates an operating system with innovative hybrid UTM firewall technology into a single high performance, compact system.

GB-OS prevents unauthorized access from un-trusted networks by completely hiding your internal network and providing transparent network access to end users. The system utilizes stateful packet inspection and advanced routing features with a powerful network address translation system. Unlike some firewall systems, GB-OS provides the user with complete transparent network access to external and private service networks for IP protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP and ICMP) based applications. In addition, GB-OS supports Dynamic Gateway Architecture with WAN failover, along with advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and RIP. GB-OS also includes a built-in IPSec VPN facility to connect remote networks or users.

Powerful unified threat management features include an Intrusion Prevention System(IPS), the Mail Sentinel proxy with anti-spam and anti-virus options and Surf Sentinel URL filtering that can be expanded to filter based on website content. Using GB-OS robust unified threat management features, administrators can effectively lock down their network while protecting resources from dynamic threats.

GB-OS offers the use of up to six multiple Internet connections over multiple physical interfaces or virtual gateways over a single interface, with enhanced gateway failover features and outbound bandwidth sharing (load balancing). Advanced routing capabilities such as OSPF and BGP, plus routing based on policy, source, protocol or ports are included. VPN support is improved with the new GTA Mobile VPN Client, which includes features such as support for NAT-T, NAT throught VPN an installation wizard, hide mode, start-up configuration modes (automatic or manual) and USB key drive mode.

GB-Ware Software Firewall UTM system offers a choice of installation options from Intel based hardware to Virtual Machine (VM) hosts, further expanding the flexible implementation choices for GB-OS based firewall UTM systems.

GB-OS is managed from an easy-to-use, GUI interface and is supplied on all GTA Firewall UTM Appliances and GB-Ware Software Firewall UTM systems. The GB-3000 is designed for corporate headquarters and mid-sized data centers with a need for with a need for high-speed gigabit performance, expandability and unrestricted user licenses with options like Mail Sentinel Anti-Virus, Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam, Surf Sentinel Content Filtering and H2A-High Availability.

• The GB-2000, GB-2000e, and GB-2000x Firewall UTM Appliances,, where GB-OS is delivered as a self contained firewall appliance designed for medium to large enterprises with a need for unrestricted user licenses and options like Mail Sentinel Anti-Virus, Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam, Surf Sentinel Content Filtering and H2A-High Availability. The GB-2000e includes hardware VPN acceleration.

• The RoBoX Family of Firewall UTM Appliances, (GB-800e, GB-800, GB-250 and GB-250e) where GB-OS is delivered as a self-contained firewall appliance designed for remote or branch offices needing 50 or fewer concurrent user licenses and options like Mail Sentinel Anti-Virus and Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam and Surf Sentinel Content Filtering. The GB-800 and GB-800e offer support for H2A - High Availability. GB-800e and GB-250e offer hardware VPN acceleration.

• The GB-Ware Software Firewall, where GB-OS is provided on CD to be installed on hardware of the customer's choosing - Intel based hardware or Virtual Machine (VM) hosts. GB-Ware supports up to 20 NICs including Gigabit Ethernet.
